September 2018 Favorites
Hi everyone! I know it’s been a bit but I just wanted to
make a little post about some things I was loving in September and I think you
might love too. As always, let me know if you have any questions, and happy
reading.
If you have normal to oily skin or struggle with breakouts,
you should definitely give antibacterial yellow dial soap a try. Yes, that’s
right, I’m telling you to wash your face with bar soap. I know this probably
goes against everything you’ve ever learned but when I run out of my favorite
SLMD facial wash, I use this. I swear it works – I even got my mom hooked on
it!
This stuff is the bomb.com. I picked it up a couple weeks
ago and it quickly became a favorite. If you struggle with tangled hair, and
frizzy hair that doesn’t cooperate (like
can’t-shower-in-the-morning-because-it-grows-so-big-doesn’t-cooperate) then
this is 100% for you. Another added plus is they carry it at Target so it’s
easy to get!
This is hands-down my number one beauty product
recommendation. If I were to choose only one thing to mention it would be this
serum. It completely changed the condition of my skin, solved all of my acne,
and made my skin as smooth as a baby’s bum. Like don’t need a bit of makeup to
cover anything kind of skin. Try it (and please let me know if it works for
you!)
Behold: The jeans that changed my life. That perfect undone,
not tight, jeans you can look good and
lounge in. All of this coming from the girl who hated jeans and only wore them
a couple times per year. After these, I’m converted.
I have the “Clear Minds” wash which is discontinued, but I
also love the “Old Hangouts” and “Can’t Touch This” colors too. Keep in mind,
these are raw denim, which means there’s no stretch, you need to break them in,
and you don’t need to wash them very often. They take a little bit to get used
to but definitely worth it!

I’m a sucker for soft. I have always loved American Eagle’s
“Soft & Sexy” line because they’re the softest material ever. I have a ton
of them, needless to say I’m addicted. But they’re often see-through because
they’re so soft. Behold: The Aerie Real Soft T-Shirt. The perfect t-shirt that
can be dressed up or down – I’m in!

6. Vintage Rugs
Last but not least, I have been loving vintage rugs lately. I’m a sucker for all white in interior design + decorating, but sometimes you just need to ground a room. Vintage rugs do just that and clearly they’ve never really gone out of style. My two favorite accounts for vintage rug inspo are @upstaterugs and @newenglandloom. However, at this point in my life, I just can’t afford rugs that go for upwards of $1,500 for a good size one. Right now, my favorite place to look for inexpensive vintage look-a-likes is rugs-direct!

And that’s all for September! I’m sure I could come up with
hundreds of more things I loved in September but I wanted to keep it short and
sweet. I’d love to hear your favorites and if you have any questions or
comments feel free to drop them below. Thanks for reading!
